Werner was born in Vanderbijlpark, an industrial town in South Africa and grew up speaking Afrikaans as his first language. Werner was always very keen in sports from competing individually in athletics to a team player in rugby.
Whilst studying for a Bachelor of Commerce degree at University in Potchefstroom, South Africa, Werner played rugby for the University and in his spare time took up powerlifting gaining 2nd place at the Transvaal power lifting championships in 1987, then in 1988 he secured 1st place.
In 1991 Werner graduated and began his working life in the Inland Revenue as a Tax Inspector in his home town. Werners next position took him to a large steel manufacturing corporation within the Cost Accounting department and this went from strength to strength as he gained promotions within the company as a Senior Planning and Production Analyst.
In 1996 whilst on holiday in Durban, Werner met his now wife, Estelle. Their meeting was a brief 2 hours but that was enough for him to fall in love with her and for them to marry a year later in South Africa. Werner and Estelle lived for nearly 2 years in South Africa, then Werner decided to immigrate to Estelles home town in Devon, England.
Werner gained various accounting positions but he felt more at home helping people at the gym with healthy and fitness advice. In 2004 Werner began a Sports massaging course and he has never looked back. From the very first lesson Werner has enjoyed the new challenges of learning a second career and having a young family but this did not deter his focus.
From 2005 Werner used this knowledge to start his own Sports massaging business on a part time basis. At the same time whilst the massaging client base increased Werner and his wife, Estelle, took over a contract cleaning business with 28 staff members and cleaning contracts within an area of 60 mile radius.
Werners’ client base increased with every year and so did his knowledge that he was on the right career path. Using massage to treat people naturally rather than with drugs has been a goal for Werner and seeing the results is a continual reward.
By 2011 Werner was working full time as a Remedial Massage Therapist within his own business and also for a boutique retreat called NuBeginnings, a boot camp for wealthy clients coming from every corner of the globe to learn how to loose weight and live a healthier lifestyle.
In 2015 Werner and Estelle, Lukas their son, now 17 and Zoe their daughter, now 8, travelled to Perth Australia to fulfil one of their dreams as a family. A sense of homecoming was apparent for all and after returning to England, Werner then gained the Btec level 5 Remedial and Sports diploma at the School of Natural Therapies in London enabling him to attain the necessary requirements for a visa.
Now with the adventure set before Werner and his family, immigrating to the other side of the world to begin a new life in a place they feel is their home. we are looking forward to Meeting all of you later in the year
